A Message from our ISO Certified Engineers The tumbling or polishing stage, which adds a shine to the raw casting, is not utilized on the GX1 Putter. While other Golf Equipment Manufactures tumble their castings to add the luster, this process also removes material and results in inconsistency of outer dimensions and weight. At Yar Golf, our ISO tolerance protocols of holding our Putters to a maximum variation of Two Thousands, prohibits the intrusive process of exterior tumble polishing. How tight is Two thousands, by comparison an average piece of writing paper is Four Thousands thick. Every Yar GX1 Putter under goes strict scrutiny by our Quality Control Engineers, insuring that every GX1 Putter is of the highest quality, and uniformity. That is why every Yar GX1 Putter, is cast with 316 Aerospace Grade Stainless Steel, and has surface corrosion protection and colored added. Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics. It is readily brake or roll formed into a variety of parts for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Grade 316 also has outstanding welding characteristics. The YAR GX1 Putter is a high quality putter that the test results clearly shows that it offers superior performance.Compendium Form: This portion of the test produced some interesting results. The YAR GX1 putter rated the highest in all criteria. We asked everyone to be fair and unbiased in their evaluations so we have to conclude that the testers felt that the YAR GX1 performed at a higher level than the other putters. A concern that most golfers have when they look at the YAR GX1 is the narrowness of the head from heel to toe which they initially feel will not be forgiving and that concern is dispelled completely by the rating in the "Forgiveness" criterion. Other important criteria that showed superior performance were "Accuracy", "Feel", "Distance Control" and "Overall Rating".
